Compassionate Care Program
Total Health and Family Care Centre provides excellent patient-centered care using an individualized paradigm to tailored to the needs of the patient. Many privately-run clinics cater to patients with extended health care coverage and very few are covered through OHIP. To create a solution for patients with limited financial resources, we offer Compassionate Care Coverage.Acute Care Program
- Injury up to 6 months including motor vehicle accidents and work-related injuries
- Program includes soft tissue therapy, adjunctive therapy (TENS, Laser Therapy), mobilization techniques, manual therapies, traction and/or distraction, and active therapy (cardio, balance, stretching, and strengthening)
- Personal targeted functional exercise program
- Education on injury, return to function, and disability prevention
Chronic Pain Program
- Injury over 6 months
- Program includes soft tissue therapy, adjunctive therapy (TENS, Laser), mobilization techniques, manual therapies, traction and/or distraction, and active therapy (cardio, balance, stretching, and strengthening)
- Individual and/or group education sessions on pain management to improve quality of life, daily function, quality of sleep and decrease the need for pain medication
- Personalized functional goal exercise and education booklet on the nature of patients' condition, posture and hurt vs. harm concepts
- We are certified to deliver the Progressive Goal Attainable Program (PGAP)
Support Care Program
- Chronic or recurring injury
- Program includes soft tissue therapy, adjunctive therapy (TENS, Laser), mobilization techniques, manual therapies, traction and/or distraction, and active therapy (cardio, balance, stretching, and strengthening)
- Fall prevention and functional balance program
WSIB - WORKPLACE SAFETY AND INSURANCE BOARD
We are registered with WSIB to deliver Programs Of Care (POC) for work-related injuries. We specialize in developing specific Return-To-Work Programs with comprehensive Functional Ability Forms (FAF) for the worker, employer, and WSIB case manager.
MVA – MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT
Our facility is registered with Health Claims for Auto Insurance to deliver comprehensive rehabilitation for motor vehicle accident/collision injuries. We specialize in providing multi-disciplinary treatment programs for minor injuries, serious injuries, and catastrophic injuries. In addition, we have over 18 years of experience in providing and reviewing detailed medico-legal assessment reports.
PGAP – THE PROGRESSIVE GOAL ATTAINMENT PROGRAM
We have trained experts that are registered with PGAP to deliver this evidence-based treatment program aimed at reducing disability associated with pain, depression, cancer and other chronic health conditions.
